Glasgow chef Jacqueline ODonnell from The Sisters shows us how to prepare this traditional Scottish dish.
Ingredients:
1 part oats
2 parts liquid (half milk half water or full cream if you desire)
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
a pinch of salt is good when cooking, even if you do take sugar with it
your choice of topping or other flavour
Method:
A non stick pan is best; gently boil all the ingredients for 5mins.
Then you are ready to go...
With either Salt, Super jam, Cream & sugar or even Manuka honey. Go for the Goldilocks method: try a few bowls to see what you like the best.
